I’ve been on a real superhero kick recently. From the new LEGO Batman game and the upcoming addition to the Insomniac / PlayStation Marvel universe in Wolverine, there’s a lot to be excited about as a comic fan.
Invincible VS is one such project, with more of the roster getting revealed as we approach the release date (April 30, 2026). With that, let’s go over all the fighters we know to be in the game, and discuss who else from this franchise’s rich cast could make the cut.
Confirmed Invincible VS characters
Up to this point, 16 fighters have been announced, those being:
- Invincible (obviously)
- Atom Eve
- Bulletproof
- Thula
- Rexsplode
- Battle Beast
- Omni-man
- Cecil
- Monster Girl
- Robot
- Anissa
- Lucan
- Powerplex
- Dupli-Kate
- Allen (the alien)
- Ella Mental (A new character made for Invincible VS)
As of the time of writing, these are the only confirmed characters. While more will certainly be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the release, the “Deluxe edition” promises four additional DLC characters. Who could those characters be? As a fan of the franchise, I have a few guesses.
Possible Invincible DLC characters

Somewhat shockingly, not already announced, The Immortal is one of the first characters we see in the entire comic/show. The leader of the original Guardians of the Globe would be (I thought) a shoo-in for the game. The only issue I see is that his moveset is too similar to other characters on the roster.

This is another all-but-guaranteed addition. Angstrom’s moveset would be difficult to translate into a 2D brawler, but if Cecil can be in the game, why not Angstrom? I can imagine he would be the game’s premier zoning option, as the portals he creates would likely provide great movement options.

Depending on what age they decide to have him be, Oliver could easily take the spot as the character with the fastest base speed. On top of having a smaller hitbox, a skilled Oliver player would be a tiny little speed demon.

Since the game is already a 3v3 fighter, it may be difficult to have the Mauler twins work as a character, given that… they’re twins. But I can see a future where the second Mauler is more of an addition to combos and special moves, disappearing when not actively fighting, in a similar vein to Ice Climbers in Smash Bros.

While there may be an issue with having too similar a playstyle to Robot, Tech Jacket has plenty of his own source material to base a moveset on, meaning he could easily play very differently. Alongside having a larger role in the upcoming season four, they would be a fun addition.

A running antagonist in every season up to this point, Doc Seismic would make a fun fighter as the stage itself could be utilised in combos. Setting traps and launching seismic waves through the ground seems like a good foundation for a fighter, even if he does have a lame name.

Every Street Fighter fan knows all too well of Twelve, the amorphous blob man that can shapeshift his appendages into weapons. I feel Shapesmith would play similarly to that; however, with his powers, the possibilities for combos seem endless.
Those are my guesses on characters that will be in the final product of Invincible VS. While I do think we will see some more notable characters appear later (such as Thragg or Dinosaurus), I think they would likely wait until after their introductions in season 4 to see what could be in their fully realised kits. Until then, I’m equally excited to get my hands on Invincible VS and watch the new season.

During the Invincible VS closed beta, a tier list for the characters was created. This list ranked Omni-Man, Atom Eve, and Battle Beast as the top 3. However, changes have likely been made since the beta, with new characters getting added. Combined with the nature of fighting games, the best character is mostly up to the player.
